Presentation: The realisation of sustainable, integrated transport: a costed approach: case study in the City of Cape Town
Integrated transport will not be substantially realised unless it takes into account the multiple influencing factors at play in the urban environment. There is a need to determine their interrelationships and cost their interdependencies and then continually implement, monitor and moderate so as to optimise the integrated, intermodal and intermodal solution. The key focus is on achieving transit oriented development that focuses on the re-engineering of rail and BRTY stations in terms of integrated development and practical, interoperable operating solutions that are all focused on the identified needs of the communities.
