Biographical note
Jay H. Walder is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Motivate. Motivate is the global leader in bike share, operating bike share systems in the largest cities in North America. Over the past thirty years, Mr. Walder has held leadership roles in some of the largest public transit agencies around the globe including the MTR Corporation in Hong Kong, the MTA in New York City and Transport for London. He was a partner at McKinsey & Company, leading up the firm’s global Infrastructure Practice. He has also serve as a Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School. Mr. Walder holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Honors from Binghamton University, and a Master in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Mr. Walder was on the Executive Committee of the American Public Transit Association (APTA) and the Executive Board of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP).
