Patrick VAUTIER
Biographical note
Since 2010, Patrick Vautier was in charge of the corporate and product marketing activities, of innovation for RATPDEV. He is also assisting the RATPDEV local operations for marketing and innovation. RATPDEV is presently operating in more than 15 different countries.
These corporate and local activities give him an international experience of marketing and innovation in the public transport sector as an operator, as well as a consultant and a lecturer.
From 1998 to 2010 he was heading the marketing in RATP and before that he was during 10 year in the TRANSDEV group as marketing director in St Etienne and Montpellier
Inside UITP, Patrick Vautier held several active positions
PRESCOM Chairman (2008-2012), including launch of PTx2 strategy
Chairman and founder of the marketing commission (2003 – 2007)
We was also involved in the UITP Youth program.
Presentation: TRILOGY; the RATP Dev Big Data solution
Big Data was introduced as the cutting edge solution to improve services and productivity in many sectors.
After a period of tests and tries where Ratpdev wanted to verify if such solution was relevant in the PT industry. We are now developing our own Big Data approach to improve the performance of our local operations. Its name is TRILOGY .
TRILOGY was designed to identify how to take advantages of modern ITS systems (ticketing, operations, and maintenance) to improve transport services performance, both for the users and for the operator and the local PTA.
Trilogy is addressing productivity concerns and better transport services as well.
The objective of the speech is to share the results of our experiences and the lessons learnt about a big data approach.
It is a 3 fold speech.
• How to release an O/D survey using ticketing data
• How to modify timetables and tram operations to optimize tram occupancy
• How to reshape the overall design of services to limit the impact of hyper-peak periods
