Presentation: Integrated multimodal service: reducing the costs of special-needs transport
Due to a growing and aging population, the costs of demand-response services for people with disabilities are an increasing concern for transit agencies. How can costs be contained without detracting from service quality?
Many agencies are implementing new approaches to service provision and recent innovations in scheduling-and-dispatch systems can play an important role.
This presentation will examine technological advancements and how agencies in major centres have used them to maximize effectiveness, contain costs and maintain customer satisfaction.
