Alexandre SAVARD

Biographical note
Alexandre Savard is a Senior Manager at GIRO, a leading maker of software solutions for the public transit industries. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Savard has held several key positions in the transport industry, both in public and private organizations, including a pivotal role in founding and managing the bus operations control centre at the Société de transport de Montréal. Mr. Savard has also led the design and implementation of numerous technology projects in the field of transport, ranging from control centres to operations-support systems and customer-information tools. He has overseen several strategic planning initiatives in transportation innovation, always seeking to increase the role of technology to meet mobility challenges.
Mr. Savard holds university degrees in information technology and business administration, and he is a certified member of the Project Management Institute. He is involved in the transport community as a member of UITP’s Combined Mobility Platform and as chair of Quebec’s Transport Association (AQTr) Smart Mobility & ITS Committee.
