Sandra GOTT-KARLBAUER

Biographical note
Born on 1973 in Klagenfurt, Sandra Gott-Karlbauer is CEO of Urban Transport, Mobility Division, Siemens AG, since 2011. She is responsible for the global Urban Transport business with almost 2400 employees worldwide. In addition to its HQs in Vienna, the major locations are in Erlangen, Graz, Sacramento, Paris and China. The comprehensive portfolio includes railbound urban public transport vehicles and passenger coaches. Before her role as CEO she held several management functions at Siemens Mobility, Austria, where she joined in 2005 as Secretary General, Special Projects for Board of Directors. Before that, Sandra held a position as Project Manager at Roland Berger Consultants, Munich. Sandra is also active in several international associations. She currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of the Industry Committee for the Vehicle Equipment Industry (VEI) within UITP. In Germany she also is Vice-Chairman of the VDV-Industry Forum e.V.. Her professional experience covers technology for urban transportation, business transformation, and large scale project management. Sandra holds a diploma in International Business Administration (Vienna University of Business and Economics, Austria).
