Presentation: Transforming urban mobility with data and technology
TfL has embraced the digital revolution. We collect a huge amount of varied data from assets, ticketing system and sensors. And we are harnessing the latest technology and analytical approaches to use this data to transform the way we plan and run our network. By analysing our data, we can detect patterns and trends and deal with problems as or even before they occur. This means we can provide tailored travel information, refund our customers when things go wrong, prepare for increased demand, restore the network quickly after disruptions, take preventative maintenance and provide our frontline staff with better information to allow them to be the best they can be. We turn data into intelligence to better operate the network, to plan for the future and to provide customers with information and excellent customer service.
