Biographical note
As one of Vancouver SkyTrain’s original employees, Mike has been with BCRTC for over 32 years. As Vice President, Operations, he continues to be a leader responsible for all rail operations in the region. This includes SkyTrain’s Expo and Millennium Lines, the new Evergreen Line extension, which commenced service December 2016, the West Coast Express commuter rail service and, on behalf of TransLink, he also oversees management of the 30-year operating agreement with the private operator of the Canada Line. Mike has led the Operations team through six system extensions and start-ups ranging from one to eleven stations. He also led the team through the planning and very successful delivery of rail services supporting the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
