Presentation: Transdev electric bus Living Lab
Transdev has developed a unique expertise in specifying and operating fleets of electric buses. Beyond electric cars and minibuses that it has been operated for over ten years in various environments, Transdev operates today electric articulated and standard capacity buses in six countries for a total number of 300 units in 2017. In order to fully benefit from this broad experience base, Transdev is applying its concept of “Living Lab” to the rapidly evolving field of electro-mobility. The “Living Lab” concept consists in connecting pilot and operational sites as a network in order to create a community of experts in association with the PTAs concerned as well as research centers and government agencies. In addition to regular exchanges, the “eBus Living Lab” gather its members annually to discuss the latest technological evolutions, financing models, operational problem solving and upcoming projects. Another output of the Living Lab is a “toolbox” allowing the simulation of different scenarios of power usage depending on vehicle technical specifications, topography and operational environment.
