Paul HAMELIN
Biographical note
Paul Hamelin has been president of GIRO since 2005. Under his leadership, the company has undergone substantial organic growth and doubled its revenues. Mr. Hamelin has more than 30 years of experience in the public transport sector. He began his career at GIRO in 1984, taking on increasingly challenging roles in software development before becoming Vice President, Product Development, in 2003 and President in 2005. Before joining GIRO, Mr. Hamelin worked for the Centre for Research on Transportation (C.R.T.) at the Université de Montréal, where he contributed to several research projects and ensuing publications. Mr. Hamelin has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Computer Science and Operations Research from the Université de Montréal.
