Presentation: The presentation of an AHP-TOPSIS hybrid approach to prioritize emergency evacuation routes of metropolitan train stations against fire disaster
The main purpose of this study is the classification of emergency evacuation routes in Tehran metro station after fire accident. Based on library sources, the supervisor’s opinion and inquiring subway safety experts and firefighters, the main criteria were recognized. The five criteria used in this study include accessibility to route, exit direction, type of stairs, route safety, and risk making factors along the route. Some sub-criteria were taken into account for each of these criteria. They were prioritized using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).
Based on the results obtained in this study, it is observed that the issue of emergency evacuation and exit routes during disasters in urban communities has not been investigated in Iran as it should be; this lack of attention is more visible especially in the urban transport systems and Tehran metro system.
