Biographical note

Bart Mancini is Sr. Principal Systems Engineer analyzing and innovating to further transit bus propulsion in the HybriDrive Solutions

Business Area. Bart has a strong engineering background earning a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from SUNY University at Buffalo, NY and a M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from Naval War College, Newport, RI. He is effective in his position having a diverse background working for the US Navy and in various leadership roles in companies serving the transportation industry such as US DOT-FTA, NovaBUS and now BAE Systems. Bart holds a US patent and several awards for his technological developments.

Presentation: Practical transit solutions delivering zero-emission travel to operators

All around the world, transit operators are looking to lower emissions and their negative impact on the environment. We will take a closer look at electric solutions and a solution that incorporates electric operation without range and reliability concerns. Introducing more electric (extended-range hybrid) buses into a fleet provides an opportunity for growth and advancement as maintenance staff learn to work on more electric systems, electric motors, etc. More electric systems such as the extended-range hybrid provides all electric accessories for increased safety measures, better fuel economy and lower maintenance.
