Ramon MALLA

Biographical note
Ramon Malla is a Computer Science Engineer, and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA).  In 1992, he began working in the area of public transport, when he joined TMB. He first worked in the Area of Organisation and Technologies and was later promoted to Director of Organisation of TMB. In 2001, he changed to more operational activities as Controlling Metro Network Manager. In 2004, he was appointed Director of Automated Metro Lines, Barcelona’s newest lines inaugurated in 2009.  In 2016 he was appointed Director of Strategic Projects, responsible of the key projects in the metro network, with special focus on innovation and automated lines. Regarding international activities, he is the Chairman of the UITP Observatory of Automated Metro Lines and member of the UITP Metro Committee.
