PresentationPassenger WiFi and online infotainment in Public Transport and Railway
Communication solutions based on cellular 3G / 4G (LTE) combined with WiFi based on IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/GNSS data server and GigaBit Ethernet are emerging in Public Transport and Mass Transportation via Railway.
Today’s passengers expect WiFi and online infotainment while travelling with buses and trains. In addition, a wide range of connectivity applications are used in modern transport vehicles: Surveillance/CCTV, Digital Signage, connection of Ticketing and e Ticketing devices, condition monitoring and more. To save cost and space in the vehicles one universal device for all applications is desired. The requirements for such a device are technically demanding: Full bi directional connectivity, 24×7 availability (always on), high security (separation of networks, Encryption, firewalls), world wide deployment, remote access from everywhere.
