Gunnar HEIPP

Biographical note
Gunnar Heipp has been Director of Strategic Planning Projects Department within the Muenchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG), the Public Transport Company of Munich. He is responsible for all development of metro, bus, tram systems, as well as the development of MVG as a multimodal and fully integrated mobility provider. Finally, he develops the interfaces to urban development, economic development and environmental issues. Gunnar Heipp is an active member of the German association of Public Transport (VDV), an appointed member of the German Academy of Urban and Regional Planning and especially UITP (currently Chairman of the Commission on Sustainable Development). Until 2002 he was a project manager and responsible for international relations at the Karlsruhe public Transport system (KVV and AVG).
