Raphael GINDRAT

Biographical note
Raphael Gindrat is the CEO and co founder of BestMile. BestMile provides a fleet management platform designed to operate and
optimize any fleet of autonomous vehicles and leverages their full potential to tackle urban mobility challenges. In January 2014,
Raphael graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He holds a Master s degree in Civil Engineering
with a specialization in Transportation. Raphael’s expertise comes from his early involvement in the world of autonomous mobility.
During the last year of his studies, he worked for the EPFL vice presidency, focusing on the European project CityMobil2.

Presentation: Optimization of autonomous vehicles fleets: the revolution of the global mobility ecosystem.
The goal of the paper is to push the autonomous revolution forward to solve our urban mobility challenges in a sustainable way. To
do so it is essential that, on the one hand, research laboratories and innovative start ups are financially supported and, on the other
hand, legislation adapts to driverless vehicles. Technologies are ready to be deployed, it solely needs the awareness and the will of
institutional organizations to make it into a global reality.
