Biographical note
Prof. Dr. Boris René GALVIS REMOLINA, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Universidad de La Salle at Bogotá, D.C. (Colombia, South America). He
holds several academic and research degrees: B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) (Bucaramanga, Colombia), M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, United States) and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, United States). At present he voluntarily collaborates with the Youth For Public Transport (Y4PT) Foundation on initiatives related to air quality in transport systems, namely Breathable Cities, a global campaign to measure people’s exposure to and inhalation of air pollutants through different modes of transport in order to estimate impact on human health.
