Biographical note
Michael Frankenberg, born in 1970, has been Managing Director at HaCon since 2005. Headquartered in Hanover, Germany, HaCon creates and develops high quality software solutions for traffic, transport and logistics. With a Master Degree in Computer Science (Diplom Informatiker) from the University of Bonn, Germany, Michael Frankenberg started at HaCon in 1996 as a software developer and project manager specializing in algorithms and software platforms as well as R&D projects. Today, he is responsible for the business division HAFAS and HaCon’s international orientation and strategic growth.

Presentation: Intermodal ticketing and trip planning integrated in one app’
Today’s mobility apps create the conditions for a more flexible, efficient and at the same time eco-friendly mobility. HaCon has successfully developed and implemented trip planning solutions which combine all modes of transportation and provide passengers with the best possible route options from door to door. This ability has made HAFAS the leading trip planning system in Europe and has put HaCon among the 50 Smartest Companies worldwide rated by the MIT in 2015. We will introduce intermodal trip planning tools developed for European and US transit agencies which are considered to be innovative and forward-thinking, not least because they also include intermodal ticketing. Real-life examples are provided from Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and the United States. Also, we will take a look at ticketing trends on the rise.
