Roland FIAT

Biographical note
Roland Fiat is a senior consultant for industrial IT security and responsible for industrial IT security testing within TÜV SÜD. He has more than ten years of experience in the field of security for industrial control systems, penetration testing and security audits, public key infrastructures, cryptography, risk management, identity management and application security. He is certified as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and nCSE (nCipher Certified System Engineer).
Mr. Fiat has given speeches at several non-UITP events (e.g. Embedded World exhibition, 2013, Nuremberg), participated in round tables (e.g. Freescale table ronde sur l’Internet des objets, 2013, Paris) and has also published several studies and articles (e.g. BSI Sicherheitsanalyse OPC UA, 2016).

Presentation: Cyber security in public transport – challenging metro system
Digital services for passengers and increased internal data traffic add new threats to the integrity of PT systems. To ensure safe and reliable operations and to protect (critical) data, cyber security is a mandatory task for operating companies and others. On the basis of a current metro project a systematic approach how to analyse risks and to find appropriate technical and organizational solutions is demonstrated which is realizable by the concerned parties.
