Presentation: Gender equality in French urban public transport: a high stake and noticeable evolving issue
Over the past decade, the proportion of female staff members in urban and railway transport companies has been continually increasing. French operators are well aware that gender equality can help address some major issues: societal, economic, commercial, demographic and social.

In terms of the urban public transport branch, the UTP has conducted several campaigns aimed at increasing the proportion of female staff members and ensuring that there is gender equality when it comes to accessing training. Urban and railway transport companies themselves are also involved in this process, notably through campaigns encouraging women to apply for jobs, as well as in-house communication campaigns.
