Presentation: Innovation by facilitating Interoperability
Interoperability refers to the ability of devices or systems to participate in the coordinated performance of tasks and functions in the execution of some business process, in which exchanging data is a simple means, but not the purpose of interoperability itself.
The value (demand) of ICT/ITS products increases with their ability to complement other compatible products the Customer can combine to solve ‘life experience’ problems.</p>
Innovation can enable interoperability of systems and mobility services, providing the industry a big return on investment and end-users with a better travel experience, as demonstrated in innovative projects like IT2Rail, GoF4R and ITxPT.
