Biographical note
Alex de Jong is Responsible for international Public Transport team and the Public Transport product range.  He is a Member of Management at Team VDL Bus & Coach, Member of Management Team E-Mobility. He is in charge of managing and expanding a team of specialists within VDL Bus & Coach to support the international tenders and quotations to all public transport customers. He is namely responsible for: tendering, quotations, commercial project management, sales and order support to subsidiaries and importers, key account management, product management. Alex de Jong has more than 20 years working experience in Public Transport; several management roles within a main component supplier and OEM (Bus).

Presentation: Implementation of Zero Emission Public Transport on a larger scale
Exchange experience of implementation of Zero Emission Bus fleets in commercial operation. Scaling up from a pilot project to day to day line operation in cities with Zero Emission bus fleets of 5, 8, 12 and 43 units. The implementation is based on a partnership between PTA, operators and VDL Bus & Coach.  VDL Bus & Coach is a system provider instead of a bus supplier. VDL Bus & Coach is responsible for the delivery of the Zero Emission buses, charging equipment (fast and depot charging), Repair and Maintenance for buses and charge infra.
