Presentation: Cybersecurity in fare collection
Our environment keeps going digital at an incredible speed. Fare collection systems are also impacted, moving from stored-value cards to online ticketing accounts, increasingly accepting open loop cards or mobile ticketing capabilities. That paradigm shift does raise security questions. How to efficiently secure a centralized system while  online services must be offered, opening potential breaches to cyber-attacks? How to comply with banking industry standards that are not designed to fit transit requirements? How can data privacy be guaranteed? Nobody wants massive press exposure due to bank card or personal information hacking.
