Nicolas BLAIN

Nicolas Blain began his career in 1995, as Deputy Head of Cabinet for Raymond Barre, former Prime Minister, Mayor of Lyon. In 1999, he became Head of cabinet for Jacques Barrot, former Minister, Chairman of the Haute-Loire General Council. He held this post until 2004. He became in September 2004 member of Jacques Barrot’s cabinet, consecutively Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Transport, and then Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Justice, Freedom and Security. Nicolas Blain joined RATP Group in May 2010 as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO and advisor for European Affairs. In January 2017, Nicolas Blain was nominated Head of the International relations and European affairs Unit of the RATP Group Directorate General Services. Since June 2013, Nicolas Blain has chaired the European Union Committee of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP).
