Presentation: Interaction design and user experience / IxD – UX
Interaction Design (IxD) is the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services. Interaction design is also useful when creating physical, non-digital products, exploring how a user might interact with it. While interaction design has an interest in form (like any design fields), its main area of focus rests on behaviour. Rather than analyzing how things are, interaction design synthesizes and imagines things as they could be. In order to architect meaningful and delightful experiences (UX), we have to work on the design of interactions. Interaction Design is at the crossroads of product design, service design, strategic design. We will explore how the design fields interconnect with public transportation.
Alok Nandi is also Chairperson of the Breakfast Session 3: Innovation by design.
