Biographical note
Dr. Claus Dohmen (50) is manager for research and academic teaching at IVU Traffic Technologies AG. Previously he was product manager for the products of IVU Traffic Technologies AG in public transport and prior to that was in charge of the development department for ITCS, RTPI and ticketing systems of the IVU branch in Aachen, Germany. Claus Dohmen studied elementary particle physics and computer science at RWTH Aachen University. Before joining IVU he worked as project and team manager for billing and customer care systems in telecommunication and public transport industries.

Presentation: Integrated mobile workplace in a digitized transport company: IVU.pad
For public transport operators an important aspect of the digital transformation is the integration of the mobile employees: drivers, customer service advisors, mobile traffic managers etc.
IVU.pad is the solution for tablet PCs and smartphones that gives mobile access to the versatile services of the IVU.suite for public transport operators. It starts by replacing the heavy briefcases full of leaflets, schedule/duty printouts and manuals by a paperless electronic library. Furthermore it provides enhanced functions like duty logon and duty/holiday requests, control center connectivity (text/voice), reporting accidents and damages, ticket sales/validation and even e-learning.
The talk gives an overview of the experiences gathered with IVU.pad so far and the further development roadmap for additional functions and roles to be supported by the solution.
