Roberto LABARTHE
Biographical note
Roberto Labarthe graduated in Mathematics from the American University, Washinton, DC. in 1974. Following a short period in the Rio de Janeiro real estate market, he joined The Chase Manhattan Bank for 14 years, holding different positions in Rio de Janeiro, New York and Buenos Aires, focusing in Corporate and Project Finance.
In Buenos Aires, he worked for over 15 years in the infrastructure branch of the Roggio Group with focus on Roggi’s railroad business. Currently, since 2010, he is a member of the new business group of CCR S.A.
Presentation: CEPAC – Rio and São Paulo experience
This presentation will review the structure of CEPAC (Certificados de Potencial Adicional de Construção), Certificates of Additional Construction Potential, publicly traded financial instruments issued by municipal authorities to finance urban requalification projects, will describe the CEPAC uses in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo and present the potential and obstacles for using CEPAC for public transport.
