UITP 2017 GLOBAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT SUMMIT: CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
In times of increasing digitalisation, advances in green energy and the related emergence of new players, the sector is witnessing rapid changes in urban mobility. As a whole, we cannot afford to let this evolution take place without our involvement.
Our community has to face these challenges and develop our role in the evolving world of public transport and urban mobility. We need to play an active part as leaders and innovators.
In order to reflect the evolution of the public transport sector, the theme for the 2017 Global Public Transport Summit will be: ‘LEAD the TRANSITion’.
The UITP Summit will address the challenge of identifying the conditions and challenges to lead the transition of the sector and achieve its PTx2 objectives.
It is expected that the papers and sessions proposed will address one or more of the four following topics:
- Urban mobility and the urban and social transition
- Digitalisation
- Towards more energy efficient urban transport systems
- Greater entrepreneurship to become customer service leaders
These transitions will lead the public transport sector to a new urban mobility landscape with new players and new financial and regulatory dimensions.
If you have experience with policies, systems and actions directly related to these transitions and wish to share them with fellow public transport professionals, policy officials and decision makers from around the world at the Global Public Transport Summit, UITP wants to hear from you!
