Société de transport de Montréal’s underground fire prevention training centre (CFSPI) is a one-of-a-kind facility in North America.
Featuring an underground infrastructure that accurately reproduces a section of the metro system and an environment conducive to student learning, the fire prevention training centre provides training to over 500 people each year, using simulation exercises that closely reproduce real-life interventions.
During this tour, visitors will:
- See a demonstration of an intervention by STM fire-fighting crews responding to an incident
- Gain a first-hand appreciation of the power and efficiency of the emergency ventilation system operating in Montréal’s underground network
