The UITP Summit will take place at the state of the art Palais des Congrès de Montréal, located in the heart of the City.

Located at the heart of a city, the Palais is accessible by plane, train or car, and houses nearly 52,000 m2 (550,000 sq. ft.) of event rental space, including 113 rooms and spaces equipped with the latest state of-the-art technology.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADA

Foreign nationals need a valid entry document such as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visa to visit Canada. This will depend on your citizenship or your situation.

To determine whether you are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or whether you need a visa to enter Canada, we invite you to visit the official website of the Government of Canada http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp

• If you are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA):
  We advise you to apply for it before you book your flight to Canada. To do so, you must have a valid passport, a credit card, and an email address. It is an easy online process that will take just a few minutes and costs $7 Canadian. Most applicants get approved within minutes.  However, some applications can take several days to process so don’t wait until the last minute.
• If you need a visa:
  You can choose to apply online or through a paper application. All detailed information can be found on the official website of the Government of Canada http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/business/apply.asp 
  UITP reminds you that it is the sole responsibility of the participant to take care of visa requirements. Participants who need an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the visa application procedure (at least 4 weeks before the Event). Participant registration details might be shared with the immigration authorities to assist in the immigration process. However, UITP will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.To receive an invitation letter for the UITP Global Public Transport Summit, participants must first register and pay the registration fee in full. They can then contact Nathalie SIMON (nathalie.simon@uitp.org ) to request the letter.

All expenses incurred in relation to the Event, the eTA and the visa are the sole responsibility of the delegate.

Should the delegate not be granted entry to Canada, the registration fee will be reimbursed (minus a € 150 handling fee) if and only if they provide Nathalie SIMON (nathalie.simon@uitp.org ) with an official document from the Canadian Embassy rejecting the eTA/visa and that the application was made at least four weeks before the Event.
